Guatemalan award-winning singer, songwriter whose music encompasses a broad spectrum of genres, from blues and jazz to pop, R&B, soul, and Latin folk styles. She sings in both Spanish and English, and calls her more recent sound “Spanglish folk soul.”

She has released 5 albums and has performed in the 5 continents.  She was the 2006 winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest with her song “Escondidos,” first in the Latin category, then overall. Currently, Gaby is one of the contest judges along with Fergie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Prince Royce and others.

Gaby received a 2010 Emmy Nomination for her composition of the NBC TV show “Parks and Recreation” and she sang the song “Smile” (by Charlie Chaplin) in the Oscar´s winning documentary The Cove.

In 2013, Gaby was a Latin Grammy Winner for Best New Artist.

Gaby is the voice of Disney´s Elena of Avalor main theme song (both in English and Spanish) and also gives voice to a show character “Marlena”.

She has toured with Tracy Chapman, Ani di Franco, Calexico, and The Punch Brothers.

Some of her tunes have been used on E!’s Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, Lincoln Heights, Ghost Whisperer on ABC, MTV’s The Hills, Soap Operas in Televisa Mexico and for O´Globo “Flor do Caribe” soap opera in Brasil.

She has shared stages and performed with Andrea Bocelli, Bono (U2), Angelique Kidjo, Damien Rice, and Konstantin Wecker.

She has also performed famous duets and global shows with Ricardo Arjona and Hugh Laurie

Gaby is current 2017 Grammy Nominee for Best Pop Album for her new album: Ilusión

And she was a 1993 CISV Village participant!
